MAUI, Hawaii (KGO) -- As Maui continues to recover from the 2023 wildfires that destroyed local businesses in Lahaina, neighboring Wailea village welcomes visitors and offers everything from gourmet food to craft beer.
Locals and tourists can shop and dine while experiencing a sense of community.
Eager to participate in Maui's recovery are Lahaina Brewing Company, Tikehau Lounge and Koast; all offering local traditions and ingredients.
"It's really awesome to be able to just have tons of different restaurants and spaces that people can kind of bounce around so they can have dinner here, maybe go for a cocktail down at Tikehau Lounge, maybe grab a beer over at a Kohol Brewery (Lahaina Brewery)," said Alicia Sobodoa, managing partner at Koast.

Along with Lahaina Brewing Company, Tikehau Lounge is happy to cater to both residents and visitors.
Jassica Sullivan, Tikehau Lounges co-owner, is excited to be offering locally grown ingredients.

Wailea Village is a melting pot of tradition, fashion, art, food and spirits. There is no question, Maui is open for business and it's a great time to visit! "It's in that concept of aloha and warmth, and that's something that I think when you come here to Wailea and Maui, you feel that warmth, you feel that connection, and that's why so many people come back all the time," Mary of Lahaina Brewing Company concluded.
