ABC7 tests out Waymo ride on freeway to San Jose Mineta Airport

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Jose Mineta International Airport is the first in California to allow passengers to be dropped off via a Waymo self-driving taxi.

Follow along as ABC7 News reporter Lyanne Melendez, multimedia journalist Juan Carlos Guerrero, and Digital Production Associate Gia Fanucchi catch a ride on the freeway to the airport.

On Tuesday, Waymo announced that its employees can now catch rides to San Francisco International Airport. It went on to say that public rides are coming soon.
