Valkyries vs. Lynx at SAP Center for Game 2 of WNBA playoffs

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- The court is set up and the SAP Center in San Jose is decked out in violet as the Valkyries bring Ballhalla to the South Bay Wednesday.

The team is taking on the Minnesota Lynx in their first WNBA home playoff game at 7 p.m.

Due to a scheduling conflict, the Valkyries won't be at their usual court. But fans are still planning to turn out.

WNBA PLAYOFF SCHEDULE: How to watch Golden State Valkyries' first-round games against Minnesota Lynx

"I woke up, and I feel like I'm just, you know, heart is pitter pattering," said Vanessa Hutchinson-Szekely, co-host of the "Valkyries, Say Less" podcast. "There's a lot of energy about going to Ballhalla south. And at first, I was not thrilled that it was not going to be in the regular, you know, Chase Center. However, had to get over that quickly. And then at this point, it's just like, 'What is my outfit? What am I wearing? Do I have the stickers for the podcast? How many people are going? How are we getting there?' It's just, like, it's so fun."WNBA playoff schedule:

Hutchinson-Szekely co-hosts the "Valkyries, Say Less" podcast with another San Francisco teacher, Raina Mast. Their podcast about the Valkyries has been getting a lot of traction. Hutchinson-Szekely said they have between 6,000 and 7,000 downloads. Hutchinson-Szekely made it clear they are not sports analysts but focus on storytelling, such as back stories of players.

The team sold out every home game at Chase Center in San Francisco, setting the league's attendance record.

Mast said the change in venue won't deter fans.

"I think it's a change, and I think 18,000 people will show up," Mast said. "And if Caltrain is busting at the seam, so be it. I think that's a sign of the support that our Bay has for this team. We're going to show up."

There will be a block party outside SAP Center from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. A portion of Barack Obama Boulevard will close for part of the day for the party. San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan promised it will be the most incredible block party.

In addition, Caltrain will have a Valkyries-themed train heading near SAP Center from San Francisco.
