A truck slammed into an overhead sign on northbound I-680 in Pleasanton Wednesday morning, shutting down lanes for hours as crews inspected and removed the sign with a massive crane.
The rig's fuel tank was punctured, spilling 80 gallons of diesel.
"No one was having fun in there. People were looking at each other, shrugging." Frustrated drivers say they spent hours trying to get off the highway, as police shut it down to get to a man who was seen walking on the overpass on-ramp.
"Slow down, drive safe to get where you're going safely." The CHP says a car crashed on northbound I-680 near Fremont early this morning due to heavy rain, which then caused a fuel tanker behind it to overturn trying to avoid the crashed vehicle.
