The Montgomery County Senior Games keeps seniors moving!

Blue Bell, Pennsylvania -- The 40th anniversary of the Montgomery County Senior Games kicked off with more than 400 participants this year.

There were 20 events to compete at sites across the county, a suburb of Philadelphia. Many games on offer included pickleball, golf, mini golf, horseshoes, running, stationary bike, softball throw, football throw, walking and many more.

The goal is to keep MontCo residents happy and active through healthy competition, camaraderie, friendship and a fun week of games and food!

82-year-old John Souder, a participant from Graterford, PA, loves the competition. "I always tell them you know, a bad day at the Senior Games is still better than a good day at work!"

Athletes were treated to a health and vendor expo on the last day of the competition. And medal or not, it's safe to say all went home with a happy and healthy fun week with times aplenty to improve on next year.
