Takeaway of the Day
This week begins with another sunny, breezy, and cooler than average day. At 4 p.m., our weather was brisk and breezy, with occasional gusts over 20 miles per hour, and temperatures in the lower 60s at the coast, upper 60s near the bay, and lower 70s inland. A Beach Hazards Statement remains in effect until 10 p.m., as wave heights are elevated, and there is the risk of dangerous rip currents and sneaker waves. We can expect clear skies overnight with low temperatures mainly in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
A Look Ahead
Tomorrow will be much like today -- sunny and breezy with high temperatures about 5 to 10 degrees below average. We will experience a modest warmup on Wednesday, but a much warmer pattern will develop Thursday through Saturday, when high temperatures will rise into the mid-70s at the coast, mid-80s near the bay, and lower 90s inland. A brief taste of summer as we move into mid-autumn.
