AccuWeather Forecast: Overnight clouds with chance of patchy drizzle

Takeaway of the Day
Despite the presence of high clouds into the afternoon, this has been a warm to hot day. High temperatures ranged from lower 60s at the coast to upper 70s near the bay to lower 90s inland.

It has also felt a bit muggy today because of a flow of monsoonal moisture coming up from our south. Tonight we will see a continuing flow of mid- and high-level clouds across the Bay Area, and the moisture associated with these clouds might possibly produce some patchy drizzle in the overnight and early morning hours.

A Look Ahead
Our current warming trend will continue into the first few days of the week ahead, with high temperatures peaking in the lower 70s at the coast, upper 80s near the bay, and mid-to-upper 90s inland. This spike in temperatures brings with it a moderate heat risk and increased fire concerns. There is also a slight chance of dry lightning inland tomorrow and Monday, if there is sufficient instability in the atmosphere.

Follow the usual hot weather tips: Stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to the heat and seek shade when outside.
