AccuWeather Forecast: Warming trend continues through next week

Takeaway of the Day
Today marks the beginning of a significant warming trend, which will continue into next week. Morning low clouds pulled back to the coastline much earlier than on previous days this week, allowing for earlier warming -- especially from the bay to inland. By 2 p.m., temperatures had already reached 70 degrees near the bay and lower 80s inland, with official highs likely to reach into the lower 60s at the coast, mid-70s near the bay, and mid-80s inland. The marine layer will push across the bay and locally inland again overnight, but will make another rapid retreat to the coast tomorrow morning.

A Look Ahead
As our warming trend continues tomorrow, highs will likely reach into the mid-60s at the coast, near 80 around the bay, and 90 degrees inland. At the peak of this warming trend --Sunday to next Wednesday -- high temperatures will hit upper 60s at the coast, lower to mid-80s near the bay, and mid-90s inland -- which will of course mean increased fire concerns.

As our weather turns warmer, we should be very cautious along the coastline, as the surf will be rough and hazardous for the next few days. In fact, a BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT is in effect through Friday afternoon at Bay Area beaches. There is the risk of dangerous rip currents and sneaker waves, which means dangerous swimming and surfing conditions. Be careful, be safe.
