AccuWeather Forecast: Mild to warm temps tonight
ABC7 Eyewitness News Weather Anchor Spencer Christian has your AccuWeather forecast.

Takeaway of the Day
The Bay Area is getting a taste of late August heat today, especially in our inland communities. At 2:30 p.m., temperatures were already in the mid-90s in numerous inland locations, with the peak of afternoon warming still 2 hours away. By day's end, we will certainly see upper 90s to near 100 degrees inland, mid-80s near the bay, and 70 degrees on the coast. We can also expect overnight lows to be mild to warm, mainly lower to mid-60s, because the marine layer is quite shallow and will provide only modest cooling.

A Look Ahead
Tomorrow will also be warm to hot from the bay to inland, but increasing afternoon clouds may keep high temperatures about 2 or 3 degrees below today's highs. Further cooling will arrive on Friday, along with a breezy-to-gusty pattern which will continue through the weekend. In fact, this cooling trend will likely continue into the middle of next week.
