

VALLEJO, Calif. -- Two shootings and one car crash within minutes of each other rocked Vallejo on Tuesday morning, leaving two people dead and two others injured.
At approximately 8 a.m., a man was shot in the area of Castlewood Drive and Springs Road near Vallejo's east side. The man was taken to a hospital by emergency personnel, where he is in critical condition, according to Vallejo police.
Minutes later, at 8:15 a.m., two vehicles crashed in South Vallejo in the 1000 block of Sonoma Boulevard. One driver, a man, died from his injuries at the scene. The other driver was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
At 8:23 a.m., a man was shot in the 200 block of Marin Street, just blocks away from the crash. The man was taken to a hospital, where he died from his wounds.

Police have not confirmed whether either shooting or crash are related and did not provide further identifying information about the victims or suspected shooters.
All three cases are under investigation, according to a spokesperson for the Vallejo Police Department. The city's crisis response team, called IHART, along with a chaplain and officers are canvassing the affected areas to provide resources and trauma-informed care, police said.
