2 men shot dead in East Oakland, police say

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Oakland police are investigating the shooting deaths of two men in East Oakland on Thursday morning.

The pair were both shot just after 11:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of 98th Avenue, according to police.

Their names are being withheld pending notification of their next of kin.
