OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Tense moments in Oakland's Dimond District Thursday night as authorities searched for two people involved in a chase.

It ended at a small private school. One person was arrested, but at least two others got away.

U.S. Marshals say they were chasing a person wanted on a felony warrant.

At one point, the vehicle ended up in the Oakland Hills, and authorities used spike strips to stop the car.

One person ran into the Head-Royce School on Lincoln Avenue.

Authorities spent several hours combing through the neighborhood using helicopters, drones and dogs.

The Marshals' Service is helping Oakland police this summer with a task force dedicated to arresting people on felony warrants.

It's not clear if the two people who got away were arrested.
