'The Bear' finale features emotional full-circle episode for the cast

LOS ANGELES -- The kitchen fires up one last time as "The Bear" heads into its final season.

As the cast prepares to say goodbye, On The Red Carpet caught up with Jeremy Allen White, Liza Colón-Zayas, Matty Matheson, and Lionel Boyce to reflect on the journey coming full circle.

With the finale titled "The Original Beef of Chicagoland" a nod to the restaurant where it all started the cast opened up about what it meant to return to their roots in the story's final chapter.

"We are embracing what got us there," said Colón-Zayas. "Cherishing what brought us this far and carrying that through that day."

"The characters of the kitchen are the people that have always been there," White said. "Carmy showed up and passed through. He's just this movement through the season."

As for Matty Matheson and Lionel Boyce, the goodbye feels well-earned after years in the kitchen together.

"I think we're getting sent off on a beautiful, confident, bright ship," Matheson said. "We found it. Or I found it."

"Yeah, I think I found it too," Boyce added. "I think that's been the point, like the evolution of these characters. It starts with a spark, and you see where it takes them. Five years later, they know who they are and where they're going."

"The Bear" has won 21 Emmys including Outstanding Comedy Series as well as individual wins for White, Colón-Zayas, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, among others.

The final season premieres tonight, June 25 at 9/8c on FX and Hulu.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of FX, Hulu and this ABC station.
