CA journalist among those detained by Israeli military while aboard Gaza-bound flotilla, report says

A California journalist with Bay Area ties has reportedly been detained in the Middle East.

According to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, its former reporter, Emily Wilder, is one of 90 people taken into custody by the Israeli military while on-board an aid flotilla headed to Gaza.

Wilder worked for the paper from 2021 to 2022, before leaving to pursue a master's degree at UCLA.

She's currently a journalist in Southern California.

Other journalists and medical workers are among those detained.
