
BENICIA, Calif. (KGO) -- Benicia police are investigating after a child shot and killed a family member during a domestic violence incident.
It happened at around 10 p.m. Thursday on London Circle, where police responded to calls for a single gunshot. Police say several family members were involved, including one juvenile.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered an adult male with a gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the gun was fired in self-defense and all individuals involved lived in the same household.
Police say that, because a child was involved, no other details are being released.
