SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Animal control officers in San Francisco say a coyote is safely back in the wild after they rescued it from the backyard of a home where it had been stuck for several days.
Officials released pictures of the operation.

They say the homeowner was away on vacation, but spotted the coyote on their home surveillance footage.
The animal was seen pacing in the yard, unable to get out because of extremely high walls.
It had been there since Thursday.
Animal control officers rescued it Sunday using a net to capture it, and then encouraged it to run off into a nearby open space.
