BERKELEY, Calif. (KGO) -- Fire crews are battling a brush fire in the hills above UC Berkeley Tuesday afternoon near a permantently closed estate.
Oakland fire officials said that the fire broke out around 11:45 a.m. and the flames reached a home, causing damage to the roof.
A total of 75 firefighters responded from multiple agencies and there has been one water drop from a helicopter.
The address is 1001 Panoramic Way, which is Skyfall Estate, a permanently closed property sitting atop the Berkeley hills.

Officials are asking local residents to shelter in place. They say the steep hills are making the firefight challenging. They have not given a cause of the fire yet.
UC Berkeley sent out a statement saying the fire is above campus but was not impacting campus property or operations.
Monday and Tuesday mark 35 years since the deadly 1991 Oakland Hills firestorm.
