The actress, director and 'American Idol' fan gives an inside look at the show with interviews from contestants past and present

LOS ANGELES -- Ever wanted an inside look at everything "American Idol?" Daniell Fishel's got you covered!
Every Wednesday, Danielle Fishel now hosts the "American Idol Official Podcast," sitting down with this year's contestants, the judges and even past champions.
They dive deeper into the show's performances, bring behind-the-scenes insights, and give expert analysis of the judges' critiques. Along the way, Fishel keeps things light and fun with game segments, trivia based on the theme of the week, and maybe a yearbook photo from a certain country singer's high school days.
Fishel, known for her role as Topanga on the ABC sitcom "Boy Meets World" and the Disney Channel reboot "Girl Meets World," is a longtime fan of "American Idol." Coming right off of her appearance on "Dancing With The Stars" last season, Fishel brings her enthusiasm for music and performance to the podcast.
Fishel also brings a variety of guests to keep the show fresh, like Grammy nominee and last year's "Idol" winner Jamal Roberts. For last week's 90's theme, "Full House" and "Fuller House" star Andrea Barber stopped by to talk about growing up acting on sitcoms.
With "American Idol" now in its final rounds and only the Top Nine remaining, the podcast also offers a chance for a proper sendoff to the singers who won't be returning next week, especially as the competition ramps up. They're interviewed about what they've learned from their experiences on the show and the support they've felt from their fans back home.
You can find the "American Idol Official Podcast" every Wednesday on Hulu, Disney+ and anywhere you listen to your podcasts. And be sure to catch "American Idol" live Mondays 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+, and streaming next day on Hulu and Disney+.
The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of ABC and this ABC station.
