NAPA, Calif. (KGO) -- A driver plowed through a fence at an apartment complex in Napa Tuesday night and plunged into the pool.
It happened on on Calistoga Avenue off Jefferson Street.
The driver said she was coming home from dropping of her grandson when she hit the fence and went into the pool.
"I'm grateful my grandson wasn't with me," said Donna Laba. "I'm grateful I'm alive."
Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
As for the car, a towing company was not able to pull it out of the pool Tuesday night.
We're told it needed permission from the property manager to tear down part of the fence in order to give a tow truck and a crane access to the car.
