Man and woman killed, 1 hurt at shooting in East Oakland: police

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- A man and a woman were killed, and a second man was badly wounded Saturday night in a shooting in the Frick neighborhood of East Oakland, police said.

The incident occurred just before 8:15 p.m. in the 6400 block of Foothill Boulevard, police said.

Officers responded to the area after multiple reports from the ShotSpotter acoustic gunshot detection system, police said.

Both men were taken to an area hospital where one died and the second was listed in critical condition, police said.

The woman was located in the 2800 block of 64th Avenue and was dead at the scene, police said.

The identities of the deceased were withheld pending notification of the next of kin, police said.
