Knicks star Jalen Brunson and his family sit down for a daytime exclusive with Tamron Hall
NEW YORK -- The "Tamron Hall Show" will air a daytime exclusive Monday featuring a full-hour interview with Knicks forward Jalen Brunson and his family.
Brunson and his family have not spoken with anyone else since the Knicks won the championship.
Nina Pineda got a behind-the-scenes look at the taping, where the "Tam Fam" gave a standing ovation to welcome what the show called "the first family in New York sports."
Brunson, the Knicks captain who brought the NBA trophy back to New York for the first time in 53 years, appeared alongside his father, Rick Brunson, and his mother, Sandra Brunson. The family spoke with Tamron Hall about family, their charity and raising a champion.
Hall also discussed Brunson's appearance at the Emmy Awards with Knicks superfan Mariska Hargitay, as well as his upcoming stints on "Law & Order" and hosting "SNL."
Despite those appearances, Brunson said television was more intimidating than basketball.
When asked after the show, "What's more intimidating playing at the Garden or doing an hour on the Tamron Hall Show?" Brunson responded: "The hour of TV."
Hall reacted with delight to Brunson's answer.
"First of all thank you to you and Jalen to say I'm tougher than a game at the Garden in truth what's special about this team and show . I want you to be part of this that really means so much to me. When I'm preparing for the show ," said Hall.
The full interview with Brunson and his family will air Monday on the "Tamron Hall Show."
