Legendary SF Giants announcer Mike Krukow retires
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- It was an emotional day for San Francisco Giants fans. Sunday was the final game behind the microphone for beloved broadcaster, Mike Krukow.
Krukow, 74, is retiring.

"To be able to do it together. I love you partner," said Mike Krukow to longtime MLB partner, Duane Kuiper.
"What's the area code in Reno?," asked Duane Kuiper.
"Well, 775. So Kuip...see you in the 775," Kruk said. "I'll keep the Kuiper suite ready, loaded and with lots of popcorn."
"Kruk," as he's known to Giants fans retires after 36 years as a color commentator.
Mike Krukow has partnered with Duane Kuiper in telecasts since 1994. And the two became teammates with the Giants in 1983.
His legendary broadcasting career followed 14 years as a MLB pitcher, seven of those on the mound for the Giants.
Krukow has battled a degenerative muscle disease since 2006, which now requires him to use a motorized wheelchair.
Mayor Daniel Lurie declared September 25 "Kruk and Kuip Day" in San Francisco.
The Giants held a post-game ceremony on the field to honor Kruk.
