Police searching for missing young girl seen injured after Redwood City rollover crash

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- Authorities are searching for a 4- to 5-year-old girl who a witness reported seeing bleeding from the head after a rollover crash Sunday night in Redwood City.

The Redwood Police Department said early Monday morning that the crash was a solo rollover collision on northbound U.S. Highway 101 at the overpass north of Woodside Road.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, authorities said.

A witness reported seeing a 4- to 5-year-old girl with blonde or brown hair and a pink jacket who was bleeding from the head.

Redwood City police officers joined the search but had not located the girl, according to the department.

Anyone who sees a child matching the description is asked to call the Redwood City Police Department or the California Highway Patrol.
