
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A fast-moving cold front will bring showers and scattered downpours to the Bay Area this weekend.
A Beach Hazard statement will be in effect along the coast the entire weekend for rough and dangerous surf. Light snow is expected in the Sierra -- above 6,500 ft could feature half a foot.

Rain is back on Saturday with a Level 1 on our ABC7 Exclusive Storm Impact Scale. The best chance for rain will be before 11 a.m. Saturday.
Rainfall totals will be on the light side with the North Bay seeing the highest totals around .50". Outside of the North Bay, showers are expected to be much lighter and totals will be less than .25". Slick roads will greet drivers Saturday morning. The afternoon looks to be mainly dry with overcast skies.
The best chance for showers Sunday will be between 8am - 3pm Sunday as a cold front crosses Northern California.
