
SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Police activity on the eastbound lanes on the Bay Bridge near Treasure Island on Wednesday afternoon created a massive traffic backup for rush hour drivers.
The California Highway Patrol closed three lanes at around 4 p.m. after a report of a man walking on the bridge.
SKY7 captured police appearing to detain a person. That person was then put into an ambulance.
Three lanes were blocked on the lower deck near Treasure Island. All lanes have now reopened.
Drivers were advised to alternate routes.
