"Abbott Elementary" returns for Season 6 Wednesday, October 7.
The show just passed the landmark 100 episode mark, and this season, they say everything is bigger - the emotions, the plot twists and the laughs.
The show's cast shared six things we can expect in Season 6.
Number 1: Episode one could feature a pretty BIG guest.
Director Randall Einhorn had this little nugget:
"We may, or may not, have some people who are famous in Philly, and the world, in our first episode. I can't say anything about that, but you know, it's really cool," he said.
Creator and star Quinta Brunson won't say a word, but she did say that we are not prepared for what she's cooking.
"I'm not going to be telling you what I'm cooking," she said. "But I think that there are so many fun, unexpected, major moments that you're not going to see coming."
Number 2: Whatever Brunson is cooking, the ingredients are clear.
"I think the secret sauce is just the love we have working with each other," says William Stanford Davis, who plays Mr. Johnson. "I think you couldn't have what you see on screen if we didn't enjoy working with one another."
"It's just real, and funny most of all," adds Janelle James, who plays Ava Coleman.
Number 3: Gregory Eddie is now the Assistant Principal.
"I think we'll kind of have to take that journey with him this year as he figures out how to execute some of the plans he talked about in the finale last year," says Tyler James Williams, who plays Gregory Eddie.
Number 4: There's a new teacher, and she seems to be butting heads with Melissa Schemmenti, who also has a new role as a union representative.
"There was one day where we had four major storylines," says Lisa Ann Walter, who plays Melissa Schemmenti. "I said: 'Larry David doesn't do the amount of dovetailing and storytelling in each episode that Miss Quinta does.'"
Number 5: Buckle up.
"We have zigzagged and gone around the world and come back again," says Sheryl Lee Ralph, who plays Barbara Howard.
Number 6: Whether the show returns to Philly to film this season is still unknown but we can always count on visits from the cast.
"You know I'm coming there when the show's done," says Walter. "I'm there."
"Abbott Elementary" Season 6 premieres October 7 at 8:30 p.m. on ABC and streams on Disney+ and Hulu.
