Giants acquire reliever Trevor Gott from Nationals for cash

The San Francisco Giants acquired right-handed reliever Trevor Gott from the Washington Nationals for cash considerations on Wednesday.

Johnny Cueto, who is recoving from Tommy John surgery, was placed on the 60-day disabled list in a corresponding move.

Gott, 26, was 0-2 with a 5.68 ERA for the Nats in 19 innings last season.
