New York City investigators combed through a Queens school Tuesday after human remains were found inside a chimney, police said.
New charges have been filed against the man charged in the disappearance of Philadelphia woman Kada Scott.
Human female remains that were found in a shallow grave on a grounds of an abandoned school are "believed to be" 23-year-old Kada Scott, a Philadelphia woman who has been missing for two weeks, police said.
Thanks to advanced DNA technology, authorities say the identified human remains found 12 years ago belong to Velma Louise Silva Lee of Napa. Lee was born in 1936 and had been missing for years.
Sources say lab tests and toxicology reports will hopefully answer how she died. Until then, it remains a death investigation and not a homicide investigation.
According to the coroner, an autopsy of Travis Decker's body cannot be done based on what little remains of him. Because of this, answers as to when and how he died will likely never be known.
