The bustle of fishing and crabbing on the Pacifica Pier all came to a halt when storm damage forced a five-and-a-half-week closure.
What started out as a beautiful wedding photo shoot on a southern California beach quickly turned into a soggy nightmare, after the couple was swept off a rock by a giant wave.
The big waves crashing into the Bay Area shores are beautiful to look at... unless you are a crab fisherman.
"Don't turn your back on the water if you are going to be out there today... breakers up to 22 feet are possible," said Meteorologist Mike Nicco.
A northwest swell is building and will bring a risk of rip currents, sneaker waves and large breakers tomorrow from Sonoma County to Monterey County.
Beachgoers in San Francisco and Monterey Bay are being warned to watch out for sneaker waves this weekend.
