The San Francisco Opera and the San Francisco Opera Orchestra have reached a tentative contract agreement and performances in the 2026-27 season will begin next week.
If the teachers strike, it will be the first-ever strike since Dublin became its own district in the 1980s.
San Francisco Superior Court clerks say they look forward to getting back to serving the public Monday morning after a tentative agreement was reached Friday afternoon following a strike that started Thursday.
Roughly 200 San Francisco court clerks walked off the job Thursday, citing staffing shortages and what they describe as insufficient training. It's the latest strain on a court system already grappling with backlogs and delays.
"We have not decided on a strike date. We will be providing the community with 48-72 hour notice of an impending strike," says teacher Olivia Udovic, who is one of 60 members on OEA's bargaining team.
Teachers and their families spent hours on Saturday making signs that will be used to carry on a possible picket line after teachers voted on Friday to strike. The teachers have been working without a contract since July 2025.
