The mastermind behind the world famous Texas Toot

ORANGE, Texas -- Craig Meaux is the proud owner of Texas Toot. A monster truck he transformed himself.

"I always wanted my own monster truck ever since I was a little kid," Meaux said.

He took the tiniest pickup truck he could find, a 1992 Autozam Scrum, and then dropped in a massive engine and added the largest tires he could find.

Meaux calls it a head-turner, "I've had people slow down with their flashes on the highway and almost cause a wreck just to take a picture of the truck."

In 2022, Meaux won the Hot Wheels Legends Tour in Houston and went on to be the Global Finale Winner. Two years later, Texas Toot was immortalized and got its own Hot Wheels die-cast toy.

The Hot Wheels Legends Tour returns to Houston on Saturday, August 2, at the Walmart Supercenter, located at 26270 Northwest Freeway. Meaux said he will be there, but this time as a judge.
