SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco Police Department announced the arrest of four suspects in connection with the shooting of 49ers defensive end Keion White, who was shot in the ankle at a Mission District nightclub in February while hosting a Super Bowl party.

San Francisco Police Chief Derrick Lew said the arrests happened in cities around California and Georgia. Authorities seized multiple firearms and nearly 15 pounds of narcotics during the course of the months-long investigation.

In a statement, SFPD said: "The arrests were conducted as part of operation 'D-Line,' a months-long investigation involving over 50 search warrants and assistance from over 250 law enforcement personnel nationwide. SFPD obtained four no-bail arrest warrants for four suspects, which officers executed between Oct. 7 and Oct. 9."

Arrests were conducted in Stockton, Los Angeles, Irvine and Atlanta, Georgia, police said.

Two of the suspects were booked into San Francisco County Jail on Monday and are expected to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon.

SFPD says this is an ongoing investigation.

SFPD responded to calls for the shooting on the 1700 block of Mission Street around 4 a.m. on Feb. 9, where White was hosting a party at Dahlia's, a bar and nightclub.

White reportedly got into an argument involving rapper "Lil Baby." That's when he was shot in the ankle.
