DUBLIN, Calif. (KGO) -- A couple charged in the killing of their New York Times executive son-in-law in Dublin have both pleaded not guilty.
In a statement to ABC7 Eyewitness News on Monday, an assistant public defender said the defense plans to ask a judge to release Shouyong Zhang.

The public defender said Zhang is 77 years old, has no prior trouble with the law and is showing signs of dementia. The defense said it is concerned about his health and well-being while he remains in jail.
Zhang and his wife, Shili Chen, are charged with the murder of Jonathan McKinsey.
McKinsey was reportedly in the middle of a divorce and custody battle with the couple's daughter at the time of his death.
