Tesla begins production of 'Optimus' humanoid robot

Tesla has started production of its humanoid robot, "Optimus," according to Elon Musk.

The robots are being manufactured at Tesla's factory in Fremont, California. Musk said the units are the company's first production-quality robots.

However, Musk said some aspects of the robots still need to be adjusted and tested before deployment.

Musk said he expects production to increase to 20,000 robots per week in about a year. He also said he expects deliveries of the robots to begin late next year.
