
CHICAGO -- Video captured a burning cross in downtown Chicago's Grant Park on Tuesday afternoon.
A Chicago Fire Department spokesperson said firefighters responded to the fire at 2:30 p.m. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames.

The burning cross is considered by many to be a symbol of racist hatred.
Chicago police said they are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire.
Authorities did not immediately provide further information.
Rev. Michael L. Pfleger said the Faith Community of Saint Sabina will offer a $10,000 for information leading to an arrest.
