A man described as the nephew of Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzmán has been arrested, Mexico's top security official said Tuesday.
The indictment alleges that all 41 suspects operated under the control of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
Police officers found around 1.7 tons of cocaine hidden within a shipment of avocados in Santa Marta, Colombia, according to the director general of the National Police of Colombia.
The U.S. Coast Guard seized over a ton of cocaine with an estimated street value of more than $32.2 million dollars on Tuesday, according to authorities.
The Secret Service closed an investigation saying no suspect was found.
"Angus Cloud died from a lethal combination of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and in what is ruled as an accidental overdose," the coroner said.
