The San Francisco Ballet board has voted to cancel its upcoming performances at the Kennedy Center.
Senior instructors and students of San Francisco's Yau Kung Moon Kung Fu Sports Association parade down the street performing traditional lion and dragon dancing.
"You can't make this stuff up," police said.
"Symphonic music provides the soundtrack of our lives and you know the Nutcracker is this incredible story." It's a South Bay spin on a holiday classic, and for the first time in more than ten years, Symphony San Jose is performing along New Ballet's The San Jose Nutcracker.
The dancers' union has not yet responded to ABC7's requests for comment, but a graphic shared on their website last week indicated negotiations were "not going well."
Police say the 16-year-old was with another teen at the Cal High parking lot Saturday night when the assistant principal approached them to say that leaving the dance early is not allowed. The teen was later arrested at his home and has been charged with felony assault and kidnapping.
